It has been confirmed that the bis-phosphines offer excellent properties when used for special "designer-ligands". "Quinox P*", a new chiral phosphine ligand has been developed and is now available in commercial quantities. The "QuinoxP*" is free of handling problems, is stable to moisture and air when stored at room temperature, and has high enantio selectivity. An ionic liquids, existing as a phosphonium salt, is also available and is an excellent consideration for products directed toward the Pharma and Electronics applications, in addition to other markets requiring this type of compound.
